I cannot believe how fast this summer has gone. For the last few months, I have been thinking about running a full marathon and now it has sort of become a reality. The Dallas White Rock Marathon is on December 13th, which is exactly 18 weeks away from this Sunday…. which means training starts on Monday. Yikes!!
February was my first half marathon and it wasn’t terribly brutal, but I have never ran more than that. I am really excited to see what I can do and how all of this will go. For the half, I didn’t really give myself a time goal; I just knew I wanted to be under a 10 minute mile overall. I ended up finishing the half in 2 hours and 7 minutes and was pretty happy with that.
I’ve created a little 18 week training guide for myself from some schedules I have found online. Expect lots of running updates!! I hope I can stay motivated!!!
