So I have been super slacking on my half marathon training. The half is in a month and I have really only had one run that was very long. I ran 7 miles about 3 weeks ago. I’ve been doing shorter 3 – 5 mile runs randomly, but not nearly as much as I should. I am going to have to get back on track or I am going to be in some trouble come December 13th.
I have ran one half before, which was earlier this year, and thought it would be fun to do another one. My friend Emily is running this one as well, so that definitely will make it much more fun. My goal this time is to be under 2:05, with my secret goal to be under 2:00. I ran the first one in about 2:07, so my first goal shouldn’t be too difficult. But, we shall see…. Here I am after my first half:
I can’t believe that it is already November. Where has this year gone?!? But, I am pretty excited that the holiday season is back. I love this time of year so much. All the parties, and food, and excuses to make wassail, and seeing family and friends… It all makes me so happy!
I also have about a million new recipes I have been just waiting to try out. The Christmas season always means so much baking, my favorite! And it also means all sorts of super yummy pastries and homemade treats from my mom. She usually loads me up with a bunch of my favorite things after Thanksgiving including lefse, poppy seed rolls, cinnamon rolls, and saskatoon pie. My mouth is watering just thinking about all of this. YUM!!! What are your favorite holiday treats?
We also started planning our Girl’s Secret Santa and Dinner yesterday. I love this tradition! For some of the group, it is the 6th annual! So special 🙂
