Another one of my favorite past times, besides playing in the kitchen, is finding different ways to get involved in my community. Last year, a close friend of mine introduced me to “Blondes vs Brunettes.”
BvB is a powder-puff football game played in various cities across the US, originating in Washington DC, that came to Dallas last year. The game is played to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. The event was extremely successful last year, with our Dallas group raising over $60,000 for our local Dallas Alzheimer’s chapter. We were completely overwhelmed by the support shown from our family, friends, and local Dallas community.
This is our second year in Dallas, and I am playing again as part of the blonde team. I am SO excited to be involved in this again and am now starting the fundraising process. I am asking for your support in helping us reach our goal of raising over $75,000 this year. To make a donation to me, please click here. For more information on BvB, check out this website. And, if you live in Dallas and want to know what kind of fundraisers the blonde team has going on all summer, check this out!
