Starting isagenix

Last week I mentioned a few times that I would be starting Isagenix today for the next thirty days.  It is my first time using this product, so I am very interested to see what will happen throughout this time period.  To be honest, I’ve never really been a supplement kind of person, and have always felt that certain things can be achieved through a balanced healthy diet.

However, I have heard so much about this product through Camp Gladiator (CG). CG is my workout group that I have been with for over two years.  It has a huge following now, so I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of you have heard of it or tried it out.  There have been quite a few “campers” who tried Isagenix and reported amazing results.  Everyone who uses the product has a different goal, but overall people were noticing more energy, inches lost, pounds gone, better sleep, and a healthier feel throughout their body.  I’ve been quietly following the CG facebook page for over a month now, and finally decided last week to get on board.

One of my main goals for 2012 is to really decrease my marathon time.  I ran Vegas in just under 4 hours, which was a big deal for me. Now, I am scheduled to run Chicago in October and am really determined to shed around 15 minutes from my time. To do so, I know that I have to get more serious about my health, and desperately need to decrease my sugar consumption.

My sweet tooth is crying right now.

Since so many of my workout friends have had such success with this product, I decided to give it a try for thirty days. Being the kind-hearted person that he is, Wes is also giving this a try. I will keep you updated on how it is going once a week, but I promise to keep recipes coming on a regular basis.  There may not be as many sweet recipes as usual, but main courses, appetizers, and little snacks will be plentiful. Sadly today is a “cleanse day” so I’ve got nothing prepared; please accept my apologies.

I will be trying out some new crock pot recipes later this week inspired from the freezer to crock pot meals I saw on pinterest. All of the recipes sound wonderful so it is going to be tricky picking which one to start with. The barbecue chicken sounds especially tempting, so it might be the winner.  I can’t wait!
